Adriano Celentano (born January 6, 1938, Milan, Italy) is an Italian singer, actor, director, composer and TV presenter. One of the most popular and influential Italian artists of the 20th century. Celentano began his musical career in the 1950s, inspired by American rock and roll. In 1961, he founded his own label, Clan Celentano, which allowed him to experiment with styles. His songs, such as Azzurro, Susanna, Confessa, Soli, became hits all over the world. In addition to music, Celentano successfully acted in films, playing in such films as Bluff (1976), The Taming of the Shrew (1980), Madly in Love (1981) and Super Heist in Milan (1964). He is known for his unique performance style, charisma and satirical lyrics that touch on social issues. In recent years, he has rarely appeared in public, but continues to influence Italian culture.
