Depeche Mode

Depeche Mode are an iconic British electronic band, formed in 1980 in Basildon. The original line-up included Dave Gahan (vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals, main songwriter), Andy Fletcher (keyboards, bass) and Vince Clarke (keyboards, main songwriter in the early stages). The first success came with the album Speak & Spell (1981), after which Vince Clarke left, and a key role in the sound took Martin Gore. The band achieved worldwide fame with the albums Black Celebration (1986), Music for the Masses (1987) and Violator (1990), which included the hits Enjoy the Silence and Personal Jesus. In 1995, Alan Wilder left, and in 2022 Andy Fletcher died, but Depeche Mode continue to create, releasing the album Memento Mori (2023).
